Obama lights up the White House for the Goddess of Wealth (and no, it’s not Oprah). In another first for Nobel Prize winner Barack Obama, he became the first  US President to honor Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains by lighting a symbolic diya/lamp in the White House and wishing everyone a “Happy Diwali and Saal Mubarak.”

The Secret’s Out for Oprah Guru: Police in Angel Valley are showing  no mercy in pursuing James Arthur Ray, as Oprah’s Self-help Guru sweats out  homicide charges in the Sedona sweat lodge murder investigation.

Saints preserve us - a twelve year dispute  between India and Albania over Mother Teresa’s remains came to a head this week as both countries make plans to honor what would have been her 100th Birthday next year.

The burning question of her nationality first flared up in 2003 when the Vatican added extra fuel to the fire by initiating the process to turn the Angel of Mercy into Saint Teresa. The Birthday of the Bab is celebrated this week by Baha’is.  The Bab, one of the founding fathers of the Baha’i Faith, is seen by Baha’is as a John the Baptist figure. The forerunner of the Baha’is second founder Baha’u'llah, he is believed to be the messianic figure promised by all world religions.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing that information about Obama. How wonderfully incredible this continuing moment in time is, where we have a President who is not afraid to live outside the box that has been created (and we have all be suffocating in.)

For the first time since I was a little girl, I am genuinely proud to be alive and connected to America that is now dissolving the boxed in conceptions and allowing celebrations for all. A globally embracing America is a solid and strong America.

Change may be slow, but it surely has begun!!

    Again, thank you for sharing!
