Our inner voice can lead the way to abundance – if only we’d give it the chance
GUEST COLUMN BY PHYLLIS KING — I believe that one of the five filters to abundance is our inability to commit to ourselves. I see this over and over in my practice and on my radio shows. We are afraid to trust ourselves. Our ability to hear and listen to our inner wisdom is weak.
We get a great idea, and go after it. But we have no experience listening to our inner voice. It’s an unused muscle that has no power or strength. At the first sign of challenge, we immediately go into fear and give up on our projects, our dreams and our heart’s desire.
What’s the answer to ending this hamster wheel? The answer is to practice right thinking intentionally. When a limiting thought, feeling or vibration comes into your space, challenge it with everything you are, and for everything you want to be. Embrace it as an opportunity to evolve beyond it permanently. This is how you bring an end to punishing legacies in your life.
We live in a time when we have to fight for our right to be awake. The external is stimulating us from every direction, distracting us from our inner voice. We become crisis responders in our own lives, rather than navigators of our own ship.
Try steering your own ship
Last week, a caller on one of my shows told me she has been practicing the law of attraction, but “it’s” not working. Right there I knew she was not practicing the law of attraction. In the law of attraction we recognize that all creations originate from within. Source is always saying “yes” to us. It is our job to learn why we are having the experiences we are. We must then choose to think, feel and respond differently to those experiences.
If we are victims of circumstance we have no power. We cannot create. We can only respond. Until you accept you are 100% responsible for your life, you will not be prosperous. Or, your prosperity will be limited.
We are never given a learning experience we don’t need. It always happens because we need it for something. When we find the courage to see challenges as opportunities, we build an energetic momentum that creates consistent prosperity.
Your answer about any limiting situation is never “out there.” It’s always inside your heart and mind. Science now proves that thought creates matter. At the quantum physics level, we see that what we think about something shapes it. Be aware of your power. Be awake, brave and honest.
This week, own your courage by looking at what makes you afraid. Challenge your thoughts, beliefs and feelings around it. Replace fear with love and appreciation for your life experiences – all of them. They are the divine food of life. It is our perspective and judgment that turns them into something else.
